By booking, dropping off, or shipping a machine or quilt to Livin' Stitchin', you agree to these terms.
Repair work beyond a standard service begins only after you approve a written estimate (in the portal, by email, phone or in person). If the work uncovers something the estimate did not cover, we stop and ask before continuing. Longarm estimates from the online calculator are estimates; the final quote is confirmed once we measure the quilt top.
Payment is due when the machine or quilt is picked up or before it ships back. We accept cash, check, card, Zelle and Venmo. Parts and products are subject to Maryland sales tax. Deposits on consultation bookings are applied to the final invoice. Items left more than 60 days after we notify you they are ready may be subject to storage fees or considered abandoned.
We quilt what you bring us as it is. Please follow the prep checklist: tops that are not square, have open seams, or backings that are too small may need extra preparation, which we will quote before proceeding. We are not responsible for pre-existing flaws in piecing or fabric, or for shrinkage after washing.
You are responsible for insuring and tracking anything you ship to us. We ship completed quilts back insured for the value you declare, and the return shipping cost appears on your invoice.
We service machines out of their manufacturer warranty. Vintage and long-stored machines may have parts that fail during a service through no fault of ours; we will tell you as soon as we find such a problem. Please remove personal items and note any accessories you leave with the machine.
Consultations can be cancelled or moved from the portal or by phone. Please give us 24 hours' notice. Longarm slots reserved with a deposit may forfeit the deposit if cancelled within 7 days of the scheduled date.
Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your login. We may suspend accounts used abusively.
Our liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We take real care with every machine and quilt, and we carry insurance, but we cannot guarantee against every possible loss.
